A song I wrote recently, pretty simple as always but I think it's good:wink:

Shadows of memories lay waste her every dream,
She lies awake, the truth abides within her sleep,
Though if I knew her, would she confide in me,

She'll confide in the shadows of memories,
She'll confide in the shadows of memories,
She confides in the shadow of her memories,

Why doesn't she confide in me?

Pictures of innocence fall from her bloodshot eyes,
They're crying for the innocence she lost in her demise,
Now all thats left is wrong and whats wrong is right,

She's crying in the shadow of her memories,
She's crying in the shadow of her memories,
She's crying in the shadow of her memories,

Why doesn't she cry for me............

I can imagine hearing it to a soft strumming on the guitar.

Lovely.

Well thats what I do, lol:wink:

I'm going to make a huge effort with busking now, so I'll through in my own tunes along with the covers:wink:

While the lyrics to Vertigo are a debated issue, the line "A feeling is so much stronger than a thought," rings true, at least for me. The best art captures feelings; this piece does that for me. I think more people shouldn't be afraid of simplicity. And, by that I don't mean to degrade this work. It's simplicity is probably why it strikes a chord, ergo making all the more profound.

Very good Zero Dude..................memories...........you can't live them......they are only reflections of the past, where they should remain.

Of course, I deal specifically with the future....which for me is actually the now. The past: learn from it but don't dwell.
