Religion to my Soul
The hearts sings a lullaby,
Puts my mind to sleep
Innocence be my Church
And God my only truth
I have seen Thomas
A steeple in front of its people
The slumber of the dragon,
Lay deep inside my head
The smoke comes forth
And in this so say thee protect me
Palms atop the wood of a cross
An angel in my pocket
Sweet water soaks my head
In a blaze that covets my throat
Grace in ashes bring tomorrow
And in all of these actions,
Have I forgotten the moral?
The hearts sings a lullaby,
Puts my mind to sleep
Innocence be my Church
And God my only truth
I have seen Thomas
A steeple in front of its people
The slumber of the dragon,
Lay deep inside my head
The smoke comes forth
And in this so say thee protect me
Palms atop the wood of a cross
An angel in my pocket
Sweet water soaks my head
In a blaze that covets my throat
Grace in ashes bring tomorrow
And in all of these actions,
Have I forgotten the moral?
