Please don't Recruit me

We want to fight
Take what is rightfully ours
We are not listening to your motivational crap
You are trying to send us out to war

It’s a scar for life
That can never be removed
I think its violence that calls me
When I pick up the gun

I become a machine
I take the orders for my family
For prosperity and quality
My lord Show me the way

Cause this does not sound like heaven
I can hear the phone ringing
I hope it’s the call
The call that gets me out of the jungle

Because right now I am a stuck in a trench
Its not a nice place
They crawl all over me at night
They gnaw away at the dead

I see my friends lying there on the ground
We can hear the sound of people screaming
We pray it will stop soon
Because its driving us mental

I don’t know how much
More of this life I can take
They say the war will be over soon
We’ll be home soon

But I can’t see it happening because
They have yet to kill me

Your getting better all the time, your working hard at evoking anger in the reader as you put it into your poems and songs, overall pretty damn good imo, it seems fresh unrevised and thats the way I like it
