when it's easier to fall prey
to the silence of your mind

where does your failure end
and where does mine begin?
in the bottles where it evolved...

uncertain about that silence
it's in me too
and I wonder how much of you
is growing inside of me

I'm turning to paper for you
light a match
erase your mistakes with me

I'm looking for a hero elsewhere
you're too frail to ever believe
I'm your burden
the dependence that pins you down
a reason to blame
anything for the comfort of your pain

torn and twisted
as I watch her bleed for you
and I am no angel that can fix things
when you're so determined to lose

and these nightmares are waking me up
more often every day
I don't want to lose you
I'm screaming inside but you,
you won't let me touch you anymore
