even NJ loves NY
it's that magical time
lost in the echoes, the silence
the golden ringing
set back and listen
listen to what your heart says
beating within you and hoping
hoping for the thrill, the power
the peace of a cherished love
you are within all, all within you
hold out your palm
take your brother's hand
never let go, never
good-bye doesn't have to be, you know
you don't need the shelter
stand in the rain
live in the rain
flourish in the rain
what sun is needed, what light when we have our own?
we're still building; then burning down love
burning down love

come take my hand
your spirit is stronger than you think
don't think for once
just hope, just dream
hold tight to the rain in its fall
see our love
see our love take on a life of its own
see our love turn to rust

not horribly original, like a lot of my stuff lately but I guess you can tell what I was listening to

some of your best words yet...

kisses at night,
beneath the stars
now you belong...
to them all

recently saw the Rolling Stones film "Give Me Shelter"---

from the heat and the dust, and yes, even the rust

I like that poem very much. It's evocative and I like that kind of stuff..

***I'm going to the May 27th gig in Montr?al. If some people want to meet me, well then just say it. Cheers

I'm very impressed. Really. I'm a sucker for that type of writing.

I love Streets, in fact, it's my favourite U2 song, so this appeals to me. The last three lines are chilling.

Seeing Streets live in concert a few weeks ago was one of the most intense experiences of my life--when those white lights come on it's like nothing you've ever experienced, unless, of course, you've seen U2 in concert before
