Strato Edge
War Child
I've never seen the sun until it blinded my eyes
Never heard the world scream until I heard my mother's cries
So cold was the night that I finally knew what it meant to be alive
The TV's on in the den, me beside my favorite bottle of Gin making sense out of nothing
My eyes are red waiting for the ship to come back to shore
Denying the moon it's midnight charm I walk the field's of my Uncle's farm
My brother's blood's been spilled in vain, burning Eastern rain
Why wasn't God watching, listening to me curse his name
Sharing at you in your uniform in the picture frame
Through the glass I raise my glass and tip my hat to my old friend
Raggen glory blowing in the wind, the morning sun coming round the bend
Morning cigarette tastes so good, all is quiet in this neighborhood
As I wonder if things will ever be the same again
