The Wanderer
Kid A
"naked truth"
if all love is naked
do you avert your eyes in shame?
stare at its wonders
until there are none?
cloak it with fret
for fear of what others see?
is it like the sun in your eyes?
does it shimmer in the moon-lit skies?
rippling across the un-painted streams
as they flow to and fro your heart's seams
if all love is naked
it must be that we are blind
for its piercing glow to remmain unseen by so many
and unfelt by the coldest and empty
why should we fall in love,
if only to fall out of it?
so strange that this naked truth
should haunt us like fiction
--that we swore was so true,
or like a word unsaid
splintering your tongue
shredding up your memory
leaving your numb
to gaze upon love,
in a thirst for truth
leaves you with a bitter tooth
and a bludgeoned white dove
-------
sometimes too hot the eye of heaven shines
