full of sound and fury
This woman aches to worship the magic
and mystery that you cloak.
I felt the surge of healing, my sickly
wounds gone as you spoke.
Pegging my lack next to whitest of linen
with the grace of a lady disgraced
with whatever pride not already taken
I am nothing but a woman who waits.
Let me always hang by your side
and live in the world you're part of
as you reveal to me the thorn and stripes,
pain(t) and colours of love
Then I will live dreams of paradise
when at night it be time for to close my eyes.

Matthew 9:20
Luke 23:39-43

i dont have a bible on hand, are those two passages combined? or is this completely original? combined originality with scripture?

i really wish i could compliment you instead of asking lame questions, but if you could clear that up for me, that would be greatly appreciated.

?? I don't understand, db. I'll give you a hand:
Matthew 9:20 - Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak.
Luke 23:39-43 is about the thief who hung beside Jesus when he was crucified, and how Jesus promised him paradise that very day.

Uh.. they were supposed to bring a spin to the whole poem

wow foray, you rarely share but when you do, well..wow. I don't want to say anything to spoil it, only I really admire people who have the patience to write in a sonnet form; I would quote some lines if they weren't all so brilliant and I didn't mind pulling your poem apart. Beautiful mingling of the two..

hope you don't mind me saying you're one of the most intelligent and artistic people I've come across, and I really mean that.
