"shame"

reeling in the shame
of unworthiness,
my fears leave me no grasp
on myself
and no one to need me;

chasing in circles
further away from the heart of you;

I find purchase on
your body;
fingers white,
breathing heavy,
giving it away
to strangle the emotions
and break free from the cycle
I have no control over.

thank you guys

Yeah fors, I kinda think that's true, probably because when people are down is mostly when they remember how important things like poetry and music can be. I wish it was the other way around

I'm guessing poets who write when they're down far outweigh the ones who write when happy.

I think I remember some one saying here or I heard it some where that bono said some thing like that. Like it is easier to write things that are sad then to make some thing uplifting.
