even NJ loves NY
moth drawn like a whisper
floating in vapor
towards the flame
and his double meanings;
sculpted from disheveled love
bowing before the weight
it burns brighter, brighter
than her heart could imagine;
all inequities fade
and only the light that pulls
shines tumultuous and perfect
through a sensual haze...
the danger condenses and
falls to the floor
and the fire is all she needs.

...and what a strange thing; to choose such a throne to show what kind of a king You are.

Wow! Good stuff. I don't really understand it upon a tired mind's very cursory reading, but i love the imagery, and the flow of words, let alone the words themselves. i'll be returning to this one.

Odd how what you just wrote felt like water flowing in a calm river. that is a metaphor for what it made me feel. calm and flowing. I don't know how else to explain it other than that way.

Aight. I actually get it now, or else at least think I do. Good stuff!

I just love these lines, they flow beautifully and make a perfect conclusion... I have no idea what it means, but I'll be back to figure it out. :)
Well done!

Phoenix

Chemical Phoenix
To Love, chemical reaction vs. mythological transformation.

When I met you I felt suprise,
as if before I,d seen your eyes.
To be with you was like a dream,
it made my heart feel like it was born to sing.
And so it came the pass of time
the word control was on your mind,
and so we went our passing ways,
and still remain with passing days.
If only you had realized what I truly saw within those eyes,
the reason you meant so much to me
was worth much more than chemistry.
With fire in the sky, I'll not soon forget,
as an artist, I see your Phoenix with each sunset.
Spontaneous combustion you did define was,
..."like the Phoenix, being taken to the height of pleasure
and then you completely die,"...
but the myth is quoted that as one dies,
from the very same flame a new Phoenix will rise
..."In another time, another place,"...
I dream to gaze upon Love's face.
