Individual poetic voice
Or sycophantic plea?
Who decides in any case
What poets claim to be?

Is it I with little luck
And lacking in respect,
Who ponders over eloquence
Irreverence, regret?

Who deems us all
Of worth and weight
As others soon reply,
That poets oft dispose
Of truth as such
We’re taught to lie,

For even Yeats proposed
That we should rectify
Our stance,
In regards to prosaic prose
Paid duly in advance.

The poem's not about me per se and the fact is; is that it’s about people believing that you have no respect for others in the first place.

This of course is not necessarily true.

OH! well, I can relate to that

For some reason, I think people feel that over in ZC, I don't have any respect for people. Which is absurd.

I just don't like to trivialize my responses with being overly polite, yet a few people really seem to have reactions to this. I can see how, to them, it may be a matter of courtesy, but I think that's rather superficial, especialy in a forum where everyone is overabundant with niceties and such as it is.

Deleting the fluff and stating my opinion seems to upset some people, and for this I wonder why. I wonder if everyone is that easily influenced by a few words...

well, whatever the case

I commandered your thread here, ZD, I hope you can forgive me. But if not I'll understand

Thanks for explaining. I appreciate it. I guess I'm not so good that way as I used to be................................ I wonder, about this change........
.......
