a poem i wrote after having a 20 yr-long dream fulfilled - i was ecstatic when it happened, dancing on air, head full of excitement, could harldy contain myself. Felt like that for three solid days, but...(and there's always a 'but' isn't there) but...its been about a week or so, and the adrenaline rush is gone, and now that my dream is fulfilled, i feel strange.

If only.

"If only" we say
not realizing how powerful
those words can be.
What if 'if only'
becomes a reality?
"If only....i could
die happy if only",
though when it happens
we remain yet alive.

What next? What more
when you've been handed
your heart's very desire?
We were meant for challenges
for dreams, aspirations, goals.
What then when challenges are met,
dreams become reality
aspirations are achieved
and goals mastered?

What more 'if only'?
