Hello everyone. i am new here (already introduced myself in the newbie section ). I used to be on the Bonoonline.com forum but they shut down so I found this site and it's pretty awesome! So anyways, I'm writing this book called "Running to stand still" and the story surrounds my interpretation of this song (the seven towers, the herion downfall in Ballymun, etc). I have looked through every U2 book I have and some internet sites but I still can't seem to find enough information on how the people actually lived inside these buildings. I know that they were considered a heaven at first because families now had central heating and a nice place to live and then everyone just got depressed from the lack of employment, gangs and drugs. Bono also mentioned that he remembered the buildings smelling of piss. Does anyone have any extra information on the seven towers or Dublin in the 1980's? Any help would be appriciated. thank you!
