The children are not weeping
They are carrying their tears
What will be their future?
I wonder in five more years
In a field of daydreams
Carefree spirits play
Across a tiny ocean
Dreams find it hard to stay

If I had a dollar and
If it bought them dreams
I?d plant it in the mountain
Let them sow it?s seeds
Here the sun is brighter
From all I have seen
Didn?t ask for pity
But a chance for life to be
About true equality

Brother bring me shelter
Sister alleviate this pain
Reach out take my hand
Till I am on my feet again
Speak to me of freedom
But look at what remains
We sing it over and over again

But hope is not in vain
The songs of joy they echo
Through the deepest soul
Glory finds a home here
The greatest gift to be
Our humanity
