[Stories for Boys]

i don't come here much, but i thought i'd give it a go....lately i've gotten into writing poetry/song lyrics.........so here's one of 'em......this is more a song, but it doesn't have music (yet)......

"shadows on the wall"

tomorrow stalks the night
leaves is breathless
without light
menacing the shadows on the wall

faces, figures
deep and dark
daunting with it's tone of voice
tease deception
useless abandon
hopeless turning round about

will the heavens shine?
greet the great divine?
will one kind soul boost me from the ground?

always there, never here
far away, never near
yet looming are the shadows on the wall

they leave forever more
then come knocking at the door
don't turn round, here they come
on the heels of they that run

turn around, they disappear
turn back, they're always near
until you've lost your footing
and come down

tomorrow stalks the night
leaves it breathless
without light
never failing are those shadows on the wall

that is realy tops, i love that sort of poetry. sort of tripy and dark
