lingering tonight. listening to the notes of the exit music
wondering if the credits will stop
and make me fade away into the background
into sleep

Ive got no inspiration there
not for this girl
shes alive in the night
alive in the day
alive for you
what can I say
stuck on the edge of a change
thats drifting between dates and decisions
between circumstance and approval

Im drifting off now to wait
theres no inspiration for me there

other than the thought
that the more time i spend there
the sooner I wont be there anymore
