to face the petals in slow-motion
dreams are better
when all they do is leave the truth behind

when negativity's a state of mind
catch the rain on your tongue
and taste the tears of the mist
look at this land where no one lives
turn away from the deafening echoes
as autumn's leaves begin their journey
dancing a startled path to the ground

This one feels so natural. The poem seems to drift down to its conclusion like those autumn leaves. There is a close and intimate feeling here that I really like. I can identify with those last few lines.

"look at this land where no one lives"--that's my favourite line. This poem makes me sad, though But hey, I've always loved sad music and artistic works that make me cry, so it shouldn't bother me

unfortunately I have a feeling i ripped Silverchair off royally on this one, normally I don't listen to too much of their stuff but i love this song..even if it's horribly depressing
what can i say? im a sucker for pain i guess
