Crossroads

Caught in the crossroads
life takes its toll
unending foregiveness quiets the heart
evil dances fearlessly
never second-guessing the good
out to show the wickedness
of its ways.

The weak are prey
a victim of time
an instant when
violence plays the game
again and again
time after time
insurmountable odds
the loser is life
the winner is none as
this is the devil’s game that’s
called “death”.

Well, wizard, I like your poem. Reminds me of Robert Johnson's "Cross Road Blues", which is also about meeting the devil. I just want to know have you heard of the song before or after you wrote the poem? Anyway, it is good.

Never heard the song. What I wrote was just a quick feeling I had the day I posted....Sarah's body was found about 10 miles from where I live.
Yes....I did sense the devil's work.

It also has to do with psychic ability...
