Half a mile from what she said...
I wrote this back in college. I collaborated with a fraternity brother of mine; we wrote the music together, I wrote the lyrics. It was kindof cool. He was a music major, played piano, and so the song had a bit of baroque in it....very interesting...anyway....it's a bit cliche, but that happens sometimes......

Come Back

I walked along a million roads
A million signs saying it's so
Forgot them all, forgot my soul
Now I don't know where to go

Come back, come back
Come back to what you know
Come back, come back
Come back, I know you told me so

A million lights, a million stars
And all the places it hurts
Rushing around, speaking loud
My head is spinning in the clouds

I've been here for so many years
The same mistakes, the same old tears
It seems like things stay the same
Always trying to play the game

Come back, come back
Come back to what you know
Come back, come back
Come back, I know you told me so

Now all the things that we've learned
Seem meaningless in this world
Too many truths, too many lies
All at once before we die

But I believe in just one thing
Just before, when time begins
I will come to see you
And you will know what is true

Come back, come back
Come back to what you know
Come back, come back
COme back, let me tell you so

I really like this, popkid, and I don't think it's clich? at all. I just wish I could hear the music.

face I had before the

need money, love like
you've never been hurt,
and dance like no
one's watching.**
