Blue Crack Addict
She puts on a faded shirt,
Slides into jeans dangling haphazardly on the crux of her hips...
Exposing a small sliver of her stomach.
Pushing back yesterday's disappointments and a stray bit of hair behind her ear,
She rises to meet the day.
Loving the sensation of her barefoot on the pedal,
She drives with the window down and the radio up.
She can't sing, but does it anyways.
At the stoplight,
She continues her song.
A man in the car beside her,
Talks on his phone,
Uncomfortable....
Tugging at his shirt collar,
And wondering how life had become so...dull.
Never knowing,
Everything he needs is in the car next to him.
The light changes.
And oppurtunity passes.
