who is this guy, Salome? what kind of music?

Bonnie 'Prince' Billy = Palace Music = Will Oldham

he sort of falls in the category 'alternative country' (Lambchop, Sparklehorse etc) but the term 'country noir' seems far more suitable

he has been compared to Leonard Cohen and Neil Young, but he really is a genre on his own
