Half a mile from what she said...
Another song I just wrote today....

"Anytime and Everytime"

Sunday morning picking up the pieces
Driving for miles searching for forgiveness
Each day begins just like all the others
No end to find, you ain't even looking

Lying in bed we were listening
The smiles on our faces, they were missing

We didn't even know what it was we were trying to forget
We didn't even know what it was we were trying to forget

All the things you thought that you would see
Just enough to leave us all behind
You closed the door and walked the other way
Still surrounded, but standing all alone

Lying in bed we were listening
The smiles on our faces, they were missing

We didn't even know what it was we were trying to forget
We didn't even know what it was we were trying to forget

The song of sirens call you once again
They pass on through me and everything I say
Inside your veil you think no one can see
But you're so transparent to everyone you know

Lying in bed you were listening
The smiles on their faces, you were missing

You didn't even know what it was you were trying to forget
You didn't even know what it was you were trying to forget.....

I really hope you take this as a compliment, because I mean it as such--I could kind of hear Bryan Adams singing this. Yes, I like Bryan Adams! Though some of the stuff he's done in recent years has been lousy. It reminds me of earlier, good Bryan Adams. Some people will laugh, but I really do mean that as a good thing!
