But I left Phoenix without any stops
And all I got was this lousy snapshot

Threw my chances in a skinny boat
And paddled through the blue with a lump in my throat
Old man turns and smiles, says don't look over your shoulder
What's the use in the glory if the glory is over

But I left the coastline before the sun dropped

Fortune tellers, they're full of shit
Tell you what you want to hear then make you count on it
Like some average novel turned Hollywood Story
Two car chases and a broken nose and it already bores me

So I left the dark room before the plot

This one is for the nomad. The one who can't find his place in the world. The point of view is through the eyes of a filmmaker/photographer because they really have two sets of "eyes".
