The Days of a hard earned return
darkened with insult and derision
The Nights in a bed of down off the ground
terrorised with memories
of triage decisions
too real to recall
unable to accept a respite from Hell
no comfort in conformity
having lived that, that Is
you can never live this, that Was
but cannot be again

reliving the dread
of the Dying
