a lighthearted poem on being the smallest kid in my grade.

it's true! I'm always joking about it, and this is a poem about the humour of it. perhaps sometimes, it isn't so great?

I sometimes ask: ‘where are my heels’
Whilst I did wonder ‘wheres my height’
Outside inside, big in a small guy
Shots of fun
Pathetic sigh

And I did wonder what does it matter
You know, I ask it tonight
A boy in heels hiding his height
As puns and jokes I set aside
I feel my swinging sway outta time

My tutors my teachers, ask me to grow,
Grow up, for once, get on with my work
I’ll reply ‘you know, you know?
’fourteen years, it took me to grow!

and for the record, i DON'T wear heels. just inspired a little by 'napolean is in high heels'
