I just found this forum and I think it is great! I posted this poem a few days ago under a different forum before I found Dream Out Loud. I wrote this poem the morning after the Charlotte Elevation concert. I was inside the heart 3 people away from the stage. Talk about inspiration. Wow! I woke up and wrote it in 5 minutes. It totally blew my mind! It is not about being in love with one person, but someting personal for me that is way beyond that.

Inside Your Heart

Swimming in the darkness of reality
Drowning as the earth spins faster
An angel's light shines, I look past her
A star and the moon collide in disaster

My heart twisted and broken to pieces
Fallen to the ground, shattered
Blown by the wind, scattered
Not feeling the things that mattered

The earth stopped spinning
In a moment of light from the sun
Time stood still with fear, there was none
For that instant we became one

I found my way inside your heart
Touched the center of your soul
Surrounded by music of pure gold
Lifted to a place where I was whole

My heart now revived by your spirit
No longer broken or twisted
Surrendered to what I resisted
Filled with love I never knew existed

"Maybe you could educate my mind"

Welcome. Great poem - I can definitely relate after having my first Elevation and U2 experience last week.
