I was at home when my mom came busting in crying. She told me my dad was laying out in the street unconscious. I ran to the scene and there were about 10 people there helping him out. The ambulance and fire dept arrived. He was conscious then. They took him to Stanford hospital. He does not remember a thing. His eye is swollen shut and and fractured. They released him after 5 hrs and said he can go to Kaiser hospital tomorrow where his regular doctor can care for him.

Oh dear, that must have been traumatic to see him that way and not know what happened. I'm glad he seems to be pretty much ok (although that eye sounds as if it hurts like hell). Hope he recovers well.

Wow, that's awful. I hope he recovers quickly, that must have been terrifying. Are they assuming some kind of assault took place?

Must have been pretty scary seeing your dad lying there like that.

Hope they found out what caused him to lo(o)se consciousness.

Sorry to hear about your dad, Justin, that's really scary! Glad that he will be all right, and I hope he recovers as well as possible.

They let him leave the same day from Stanford hospital. They said he fractured his eye socket, but they don't think it requires surgery. I took him to Kaiser yesterday two see two other doctors and he still has to see a Head and neck specialist. Other than that he is doing fine thank god. Although it looks like he lost a boxing match against Muhammad Ali.

He has no idea and they have no idea. There still looking at the scans.
