Looking back
As many of you know I am a photographer. Looking back at my pictures after publishing my book I have come to the conclusion that my best photograph I have ever taken, is not the Moss Beach photo which was displayed in NY Time Square or the tree with stars in the background. For me it is the last picture taken of my grandma, which was two years ago. My grandma and I were best friends and we would secretly eat a pound of see's candy when she came to visit from Guatemala, she also taught me to be a gentleman. Two years ago I had visited Guatemala for my first time in 5 years. The day I left to come home, to back to work and studies, I told her I hoped to see her in the winter, she said god willing. She had passed on a Sunday in her bed she had shared with my grandpa and I found out she passed away on Monday when I arrived at work.
