Diamond The U2 Patriot
Refugee
by a man named Richard.
Let me explain.
This fellow was older.
Like about 50+ yrs, outta shape and physically not much to look at.
I noticed that he had a physical malady.
Studying him closer- I saw that he was struggling w advance stages of Parkinson's diesease.
He had lots of tremors and had to lean on a beam to balance himself occasionally.
He wanted to sing.
Anyway he sang a song- "Glory Glory Hallejah" that brought the house down. Not a popular song but w/his beautiful voice he silenced the 25-35 yr old crowd into a stunned amazement.
I was happy for him.
The bar erupted in a roar.
Richard in his best posture walk outta the bar to thunderous applause.
I felt like a piece of shit.
I had to sing next, realizing all the blessings that God has bestowed upon me that-
I HAVE TAKEN FOR GRANTED.
