I portrayed an "out-of-chracter" Larry Mullen Jr.

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

In 85, me and some of my buddies portrayed U2 in a lipsynch contest at school. I portrayed Larry - I even had his haircut and cross earring.
Toward the end of the set, it occurred to me that our Edge was not very exciting, and people were losing interest. So, I jumped out from behind the drums, grabbed an extra guitar and did a crazy over-the-top guitar solo on the live New year's Day. The crowd loved it - they were cheering and everything.

However, I must confess, it was very un-Larryish.

This is ok boss.
This is protocol at a U2 gig.
Expect the unexpected.
Make a difference.
Just do something.

Larry should send you roses.

Is there a way to post a pic to this forum instead of as a link to another website?
