O.K., so I know it isn't the best movie ever made, but it is NO ISHTAR at least! I laughed often (especially at the "beaver" line), thought the innocence of the 2 main characters was lovely, liked the cinematography, and I think I have a weird fetish for Milla Jovovich in-character.

Basically, it's worth seeing and I don't know what Mel Gibson's problem is with the film. Maybe he doesn't like a movie without explosions.

Hmmm...Mel DOES look stupid in there.

It CAN'T be the dumbest movie ever, there are definately others that take the cake in that category. In example: Godzilla 2000, The Majestic, Napolean, Leeches!, Pihrana (I and II), Magical Mystery Tour, Gosford Park, Tremors, Tremors II, Mystery Men, the new Mandy Moore movie. The list goes on and on and on...but I did like the cinematography in M$H, quite good.
