I hate Valentine's Day

Besides the fact that it seems to be little more than a shameless marketing ploy to sell flowers and candy, it only serves to exaggerate the stupid idea that in order to be "complete" one must be part of a couple.

As if we don't have that shoved in our faces enough on radio, television, movies, and media.

Oh, and I got dumped last year on V-Day, so the holiday has done me zero favors so far.

I've only had one actual good Valentines Day since the onset of hormones (I had a great date!). But nothing came of that...

I've been calling it Singles Awareness Day for a few years now.
