nah it was a commercial for some new rap album that set me off... i really want to know why they need to yell absolutely everything in a loud obnoxious voice? do they think rap fans have hearing problems? i don't get it... especially the ones who do it OVER rap songs themselves... like you'll be in the middle of a song and all of a sudden some asshole yells NEW SHIT NEW SHIT new shit... god that's annoying

One would hope that you do not group "all rap DJs" in the same category.
Blackalicious for instance does no yellig at aqll and has some of the greatest lyrics EVER. Yes that is correct, ever. It's great music if you know what to listen to, and if they were playing it on a comercial - it sure as hell wont be good. Anyway Blackalicious is cool.

um... yeah gee thanks for that... but i didn't mean the rappers themselves... i don't dislike rap, except for crap like nelly of course... i've got biggie and tupac and busta rhmyes cds right next to the u2 and pearl jam ones... i meant what i said... rap DJs... guys who spin rap records... guys on Hot 97, etc. yelling over the rap song... thanks though, i think

there's a guy who does that at the campus radio station. i'll be sitting outside the studio getting stuff ready for my show and he'll suddenly interrupt the song he's playing and yell something that i can't really understand anyway, and then turn the song back up. he does this all the time too, i'm surprised no one called up and complained yet.
