I can't stand my neighbors.

My neighbors are so hateful. They can't get along with anybody and burn these damm bon fires everyday out in their yard. Because they have the biggest house in the neighborhood, they seem to think they can do anything they want and they are always minding everyone elses business.
Well today, they decided they were going to burn some trash, which is illegal, so I went out and told them so and got into a little arugment with them. I told them I was tired of the smoke blowing over in my yard eveyday and they needed to stop. They then told ME that everyone needed to get along. They are the ones causing all the problems! He then made some snide comment about money which I did not quite hear because I had stated to walk away.
Needless to say, I have been pissed all day! I hate confrontations and these kinds of things just upset me eventhough I know I was right to complain. I have been thinking I should have just left it alone and my day would have been much better but I am so sick of them. I already called the fire dept. on them but they did'nt do anything and I am sure it is because of their high status in the community. Now I am worried the people are going to file some complaint about me. I think its this power thing they seem to have which is really getting on nerves!
Anyway, I just needed to get that off my chest.

YOU didn't do anything wrong. Neighbors are a pain. One of ours is a neo-nazi. Fun stuff.

Luckily my closest neighbors are quite a distance away (across the field -- I'm in a rural area). Still, one of the hoses is just being finished up and it sits higher than my house, so voices carry down to me, and it's very weird for me to be able to hear voices. But no one really pays anyone much attention here, and that suits me just fine.

Loud music can really get on my nerves. Especially when you are trying to watch tv and the bass just pumps through your walls.

Heh....reminds me of the 11 years I lived in the ghetto, sandwiched between crack houses during a period of gang wars.

e gad-
neigbors can be a pain.
where i live now is ok.
when i lived on the navy base housing in jax fla..these people would leave thier sweet little german shepard puppy outside all night long and it was such a pitiful howlin g and crying during the night.
then one day the dog got really sick and died.....the autopsy revealved that he was attacked by a racoon ( probably during one of the long nights it was left outside) and it had died of rabies...so anyone who played with or bathed the dog( i bathed it one cuz it had crap all over it) BTW the people were never home and neglected it- anyway all the kids that played with it or anyone who was in contact with it....who happened to get scratched by it , licked by it, or nipped nipped by ( which puppies tend to do ) had to go and get the rabies treatment
that meant all the neighborhood kids, me and my own children.
what a nightmare.....and the neighbors didnt even say anything to us after all that...not one sorry about that.

as for you maggie..i would try and get your neighbors together...if they are irritated as well by those people
and see what can be done or said

oof. best of luck to you and your situation..

i have a neighbor who has parties everyweekend with these "ghetto" people with their screeching cars and their gangs.. ugh..

then i have a neighbor who has this enormous german shepherd who craps in everyone's yards and they don't pick it up. i hate it when i accidentally step in it..

in conclusions. neighbors are a pain.

Carrieluvv, that's awful! Those people should be fined for animal neglect and failure to have their animal properly vaccinated.
