You are definitely not the only one with that problem! I fare pretty well myself, but I know other people who have issues with it.

*quickly double checks to make sure I didn't type anything wrong, therefore making me contradict myself* ;)
 
The more you read, the better speller you'll be. Seeing the words in print will help you remember if they 'look right' if you have any doubt about it when you write or type them.

actually reading backwards helps you proofread your work better too and catch more mistakes.

honestly, i've always found that to be bullshit. it works when you're like 14, but in the long term, there are people (like me) who just cannot spell.
