a new scare

I have just found out that one of my best friends has malignant melanoma. Needless to say I'm petrified. I am also ashamed that I have complained about my life. She doesn't live in the same state that I do, but I am in touch with her and I just got the bad news by e-mail. Naturally I plan to pray my brains out. Maybe God is trying to teach me something.

Thanks everyone. This has really been the Summer From Hell! What with the death of a friend, an attack of shingles (and then annoying Post-Herpetic Neuralgia, ouch!) and then my mother's stroke, I'm hoping I can get a break in the action.
