awww, it's all good now.

it's quicker to heal than broken bones and isn't as immobilising.
awww yay.

though admittedly my broken bone (right arm) was minor as far as broken bones go. i was little at the time and i remember all i needed was the sling, no cast. my mom took me to a pediatrician the day it happened (i guess it was that and not the hospital) and they said i was fine :| just because i didn't bruise.

oh well, no harm done. it's not like i have limited range of motion or anything, i don't even think about it until someone brings up a broken bones topic. then it's like "ohhh yeah"

aww :cute:

i pretty much feel zero effect from any very smart injuries i've ever picked up. i can claim my knee as an injury from a plane crash, except for the whole the plane never crashed and i wasn't even on it. basically, back when i did gliding i was holding one upright for it to be towed to take off, and i ran with it for too long, tripped over and sprained the hell out of my knee. vert rarely still feel it, but...yeah. usually it's like i'm really cold and my knee gets stiff and i think "now, why is it doing that? oooh, yeah!"

otherwise it's all boring stuff like rolling/twisting ankles, landing awkwardly on arms and stuff.

travis, ashley...am i going to get shot for applying the cute smiley here? :cute:

What's he like?

He´s friendly, can explain an make his point very well, knows a lot about African history and is opened to discussion, if he is in the mood for it. I met him in Vienna, where he explained the meaning of InI to me at a Caribbean Cultures Conference. 3 years later I met him in Kingston.. he barely remembered, but took me to the hotel in his car after a dub poetry performance of young speakers he hosted. You can feel he´s a strong person, his strong presence.

the side story, he wasn´t allowing any pictures in the car, and I thought he maybe don´t want I take any picture at all.. oy.. maybe it was foolish to ask.. me the white tourist and all that ;) but when I had got out of the car at the hotel, and said goodbye, he said "Didn´t you want to take a picture?" I say yes, he says "do it now". So I did.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, he was with a zillion record companies and I wouldn´t even think of asking him to sign with me (sigh)
