Those shots are gorgeous, MsPurrl! Just seeing those would give me the motivation to walk to work! Lovely change of season there.

Thanks, Karen. It's amazing what a difference (less than) a week makes. After a few days of rain, cold, and wind, there aren't many leaves left. But it was beautiful while it lasted!

I just love the color and that's because where I live in San Diego we don't have real season changing things happen like leaves turning color and falling from trees, etc. We have streets lined with palm trees which some people think are so cool (the grass is always greener, isn't it?!) and the sand is only 6 short blocks from my house and we have mild weather year-round. Nothing real exciting here in season changing aspects. So you all will have to share yours with me through photos!

Ned, is it? Cute. My mother has a number of squirrels in her yard too. I keep telling her when she starts giving them names I'll have her committed. Maybe that's why she never refers to them by pet names to me! Ned is a cute name for that little one tho!

Th squirrels at work are tame. There's hundreds of them. They will eat from your hands.

My mom hangs these things from tree branches in her yards that she spreads peanut butter all over. The squirrels go nutso over it, it's funny to watch them whiz around the yard on their peanut butter sugar high!

Great photos! I love the beach so much! I'll be on one in exactly 31 days (not that I'm counting, or anything!).

I went hiking with some friends yesterday, it was so beautiful, with sun and blue skies. I love the smell of the woods in fall.

Love your pictures, last unicorn. The weather has been too cold and crappy here to get out much, so I will enjoy your walk in the woods.

Kind of "scenic" in that it snowed and the light was good enough to snap the dogs. So yeah they are dog pics but I think the snow makes them almost surreal.

Thanks everyone.

I grew up with the woods surrounding me, I cannot imagine to live without them. I live in the city but within half an hour, I'm totally in the country, where there are woods, gardens, fields, hills, vinyards, it's amazing.

Beautiful, beautiful pics. I'm going to go to sleep now, and likely dream about German Shepherds flying through incredible cloud systems.

youtooellen, you must be lying on your tummy a lot when taking pictures.

I love the atmosphere in your photos.
