Me showing Nikon to his Championship title today. "Nikon" is now "SG U-CH Alta-Tollhaus Bono T1 FO PA BH CL1-R HIT CGC OFA".

It was also the little guy's first show....and he tried to eat his blue ribbons

Thanks! I don't really enjoy showing them (as you can probably tell from my expression) but I pick dogs that I believe are "correct" in conformation and movement as far as the functional aspect of the breed, and want to show them that a dog that trains for sport and work is deserving in the show ring. I get my dogs from Europe or from European imports bred here. None of my dogs are American show line dogs which is what you see in the show ring and the types of GSDs you would see in the dog shows on TV. Those dogs are bred to the extreme only for movement and yet very, very few of them have working or sport titles in anything. Nikon is just two and already has a string of achievements in obedience, tracking, protection, agility, etc and the only reason he is missing achievements in lure coursing, dock diving, and weight pull is because of my bank account (have to be selective about how often we train and how far we can travel for competitions). Many of the American dogs we've shown against have shown very poor temperaments even in the show ring where they are not having to do any obedience or challenge of any kind. If you want to win the show, you have to buy dogs like that. I don't care about beating all the Grand Champions, I just like to get the show titles that prove my dogs are every bit as "correct" AND they actually do jobs.

Time to show myself. But I don't have any good pics of 'Just Me' so i'll post a few of me with the most notable persons I know.

The Tae Kwon Do champions

From left to right- me(not a champion but a finalist -hyeong/pumsae), Big guy(champion -Breaking), Dangerous guy(finalist- kyorugi/sparring)

College(With the most prominent intellectuals from the junior-most and senior-most batches)

At Home(with two fellow fellow Rock'n'Roll fans. Taken while I was recuperating from a long illness, so I'm totally out of shape. But I'm still posting it since genuine Rock'n'Roll fans are hard to find here.)
