__________________PHOENIX (Reuters) - An Arizona woman, in despair at the re-election of Democratic President Barack Obama, ran down her husband with the family car in suburban Phoenix on Saturday because he failed to vote in the election, police said on Monday. Holly Solomon, 28, was arrested after running over husband Daniel Solomon following a wild chase that left him pinned underneath the vehicle. Daniel Solomon, 36, was in critical condition at a local hospital, but is expected to survive, Gilbert police spokesman Sergeant Jesse Sanger said. Police said Daniel Solomon told them his wife became angry over his "lack of voter participation" in last Tuesday's presidential election and believed her family would face hardship as a result of Obama winning another term. Witnesses reported the argument broke out on Saturday morning in a parking lot and escalated. Mrs Solomon then chased her husband around the lot with the car, yelling at him as he tried to hide behind a light pole, police said. He was struck after attempting to flee to a nearby street. |

^If she gets a prison sentence she'll be forced to depend on gov. handouts for the length of her incarceration.
You have to love the irony. |

Oops: Chinese Newspaper Duped By The Onion Story Naming Kim Jong Un ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ | Mediaite
The Onion is proud to announce that North Korean supreme leader Kim Jong-un, 29, has officially been named the newspaper’s Sexiest Man Alive for the year 2012. With his devastatingly handsome, round face, his boyish charm, and his strong, sturdy frame, this Pyongyang-bred heartthrob is every woman’s dream come true. Blessed with an air of power that masks an unmistakable cute, cuddly side, Kim made this newspaper’s editorial board swoon with his impeccable fashion sense, chic short hairstyle, and, of course, that famous smile. “He has that rare ability to somehow be completely adorable and completely macho at the same time,” Onion Style and Entertainment editor Marissa Blake-Zweibel said. “And that’s the quality that makes him the sort of man women want, and men want to be. He’s a real hunk with real intensity who also knows how to cut loose and let his hair down.” Added Blake-Zweibel, “Ri Sol-ju is one lucky lady, that’s for sure!” With today’s announcement, Kim joins the ranks of The Onion’s prior “Sexiest Man Alive” winners, including: 2011: Bashar al-Assad 2010: Bernie Madoff 2009: Charles and David Koch (co-winners) 2008: Ted Kaczynski 2007: T. Herman Zweibel The Onion’s commemorative “Sexiest Man Alive” issue will be available on newsstands everywhere this Friday and contains a full 16-page spread on Kim. UPDATE: For more coverage on The Onion's Sexiest Man Alive 2012, Kim Jong-Un, please visit our friends at the People's Daily in China, a proud Communist subsidiary of The Onion, Inc. Exemplary reportage, comrades |

I saw a girl get off a school bus today wearing a bathrobe. Carrying her coat.
I've seen the occasional pj type pants, and some schools have banned those. But that was a first-a terry, tied, full length robe. I'd guess she was junior high age. |

Putting it here because I refuse to put it in the Boston thread. Yeah he's worthless and completely predictable, but screw you Rush. This is our fucking city and no one's going to dictate our freedom-least of all you. I wonder how he explains McVeigh and where his hatred came from. And the caller, well that's not surprising either.
__________________We hate America so much that we invented it. So said our American hating President. Well, his speechwriter. CALLER: Earlier you talked about with where these guys come from. The definition of difference between a liberal and a conservative is the liberal, when sharing things about a great country, people from another country, will point out that he recognizes what's wrong with it, whereas a conservative will point out what is great about it. Well, that's what happens when these young guys live in this area when is a liberal hotbed, all they hear all their lives even from people who are supposed to love this country is what a horrible place it is and what's wrong with it, so it's no wonder they turn out to be, as you call it, you know, become radicalized by our own nation. LIMBAUGH: They do. They hang around people that don't like America, they get inspired or influenced by it somehow, and it's no wonder. Look, folks, Boston's a hubbub of liberal elite intellectual thought, all the universities there. And if you end up around the wrong people long enough and you're young enough and impressionable enough, then that kind of thing can happen. It is an interesting point about the difference between liberals and conservatives. Liberals will tell you what's wrong with the country from the founding. Conservatives will say what's wrong with the country because of liberals, while telling you what's great about the country -- if the liberals would move out of the way. |
