There’s no real support for a lot of this stuff, but GOP floor the air and it appears like this is some phenomena which ends up passing state legislation.

The Dems end up blaming the squad for everything, and yet they’ve correctly called out how Biden’s agenda was going to fall apart by not linking BBB and Infra together.

Now i don’t like the defund bullshit they spout, and i do hope we can pass parts of BBB which may have been the route all along.

But people like Manchin never operated in good faith, the progressives compromised over and over and yet it’s a “centrists” who spread the blame.

if he wants to run on raising taxes on 100m Americans, ending social security, ending all non-disaster related federal aid to states, a 12-year limit on all federal employment, and the sunsetting of laws after 5 years, he's free to do so.

this is quite a tell on where they believe the Trump base -- and, therefore, the GOP base -- lie on the issues.

this is the agenda of a party that is certifiably nuts and deserves to go down in flames.

the truth is that the D's don't have a majority in the Senate. they need 51-53 seats to function as if they are a majority. you can't do that with The Squad.

the way to do that is to run more Jon Testers in more states. there's really no other way around the rural overrepresentation.

Yeah

41 million folks living in a free European country, not knowing what the next day might bring. Hard to believe here in 2022.

Imagine if a percentage of Americans sided with Saddam in 1990.

It’s just unfathomable to me how an American can support Putin. Which means supporting Trump. But seeing as how Trump wants to take over the U.S. in the same vein, I guess it shouldn’t be a surprise at this point.

As Tucker noted, Putin never called him a racist.

Imagine if Trump or another Trumpist wins in 2024, and they fulfill the threat of pulling out of NATO??

I don’t see how this conflict doesn’t scale to full out war.

Sanctions won’t bother Putin. He appears to be completely insane and even his rich friends wouldn’t cross him or talk him down.

We either see a European army fight back, or we allow this mess to slowly stew over the next few years while Russia slowly overtakes Ukraine and progresses to other countries.

I still hold out some hope that Europe and the US can isolate and pummel him financially to break him, but there’s enough sympathy and support to keep the lights on

Keep an eye on China too. They are seeing the response to this conflict and would love to crush Taiwan

Check President Biden's 1991 Gulf War vote. Does that mean he was rooting for Saddam Hussein?

I think not.

Great point!

I do remember when Biden called Saddam a “genius” and openly admired the strategy behind the invasion and occupation of Kuwait. As well as Biden’s long history of statements of admiration for Saddam’s toughness and shrewdness.

Seem to recall Biden's vote being played on Saddam TV, like Russia state television is playing the Orange man's comments

Man, in retrospect, that may have been one of the least intelligent comments ever made in this forum, and there have been a lot of those over the years.

Universal condemnation of this point of view. President Trump actively used his platform to admire our enemy in the face of arguably the most destabilizing moment in the past 80 years for western society.

You're right, that was a bad analogy on my part. And I apologize.
