Thailand coup

Military overthrows the government, imposes a 10pm-5am curfew, bans gatherings of five or more people and only pro-military material is allowed to be broadcast.

I was there just over two years ago, we were out until the wee hours every night and always felt very safe (aside from losing one of our mates at the full moon party). Scary reading.

Nineteen coups in 82 years. They should just about put a coup on the calendar at that rate. New Year's Day, Labour Day, Coup...

Ian McCulloch the U2 fan:
"Who buys U2 records anyway? It's just music for plumbers and bricklayers. Bono, what a slob. You'd think with all that climbing about he does, he'd look real fit and that. But he's real fat, y'know. Reminds me of a soddin' mountain goat."
"And as for Bono, he needs a colostomy bag for his mouth."

Sounds like Queensland in a few years time ...

Admittedly I'm not that well versed on Thai political history, other than that their monarchy is literally untouchable.

Thai people should reinvent their cuisine, we are what we eat.
