Well there's no way of stopping it, right? Not without a border wall, deportation and denial of refugees?

In that case I think we'd really want to limit the availability of automatic weaponry, as it seems clear that these are the types of attacks they're interested in.

So how can any sane and logical person not see a connection?

Maybe we should have background checks and waiting lists to make sure terrorist infiltrators can't get guns. Or is that asking too much?

Surely the potential of members of a group who's main intention is wiping non believers from the face of the earth entering a country with incredibly easy access to automatic weapons is a frightening thought. Surely we should do everything to prevent this, right?

What they don't need are countries that will accept hundreds of thousands of Muslim refugees. What they don't need are are countries that will refuse to react exactly how they want them to. Good thing they're not going to get those countries.

The response to this attack is basically "Hey, you know that thing we've been doing for 15 years that A) hasn't worked and B) has created the situation we're dealing with now? We'll let's keep at it!"

Goddamn it. At every turn the military experts do exactly the wrong thing because they refuse to think.
