It would be interesting to see the algorithms that translate the questions into political positions. My guess is that the results are skewed by what the author deems the middle point.
I agree with Iron Yuppies statements that the questions seem like a bunch of platitudes – I would add false dichotomies and forced extremisms. The quiz is not very helpful in understanding one’s political views.
I would also give NO credence to the test results for current politicians. I’m fairly certain the politicians themselves did not take the quiz. If done by a third party, how did that person arrive at their answer for a given politician – based on their speeches as a candidate, speeches as an elected official or interpreted from their actions while in office?
This quiz was a little more thoughtful in their questions, but was also very short-sided. A number of questions are just simply issues of the day and do not touch on core beliefs and principles.
