We have an elected Australian senator blaming Muslims for the act. He was egged today by a young man and he turned around and punched him twice in the head.

So we aren't all that much different, us and US.

NZ PM:

"While work is being done as to the chain of events that lead to both the holding of this gun licence and the possession of these weapons,” said Ardern. “I can tell you one thing right now; our gun laws will change."

AKA, what a rational and normal response is.

Gun reform in NZ within 10 days. May as well build a giant wall all around America, the rest of the planet lives in a different universe anyway.

That Kyle Griffin account is essentially a news bot, isn't he?

does that guy pay you to repost his tweets? he probably should, considering the frequency.

All of that money and Ally McBeal still won't learn to use the tweet embed tool.

Who does this potential law impact the most ???

The people voted to allow felons the right to vote.

Then the GOP realized oh, that’s a lot more democratic voters.

And i always use the app

I would say that there’s a systemic oppression of minorities that make them more likely to be incarcerated, and the GOP is well aware that it strategically doesn’t favor them so they support the oppression.

But the notion that the democrats require the former felon vote to win is almost supportive of the GOPs position. You might as well go around saying “the democrats need the illegal vote”.

As though they’re relying upon these “tactics” to win.

But they’re not. They already have the popular vote. The head count exists. They just need the right distribution on a well ran campaign.

The notion that ex-felons should be able to vote is an abstract thought that they’ve done their time and if they’re free they should have their rights restored. It isn’t some strategic ploy. It’s a moral high ground. It’s not like anybody is trying to pass a law to give undocumented immigrants the right to vote.

This on the heels of the shooting at a university in North Carolina and another shooting at a synagogue before that. All of which have taken place in, what, just two weeks' time?

Twenty years on from Columbine and we clearly haven't learned a damn thing, nor do we apparently show any interest in fixing this anytime soon, even after seeing children continuously traumatized by these tragedies. What a great legacy to leave for the up and coming generations.

They believe one suspect is a juvenile and one is an adult.

That's creepy.
