I've never found him convincing until the last few weeks. It's as if he's found something he believes in and you can tell. As opposed to just being everything to everyone.

It’s increasingly difficult to feel sympathy for the citizens of a state that has been the financial and geographical heart of the GOP for the past 30 years. It’s a bit of a reap/sow moment. What do people expect? More guns = more gun crime. In a state that actively promotes gun ownership and with a government that has been totally controlled by a terrorist organization that seeks to get as many Americans killed as possible, what do people expect?

As someone who has 2 Texans as friends; one is now here in nyc, the other in Texas - at least feel sympathy for the liberals, and progressives who live there. That's who both my friends are.

I hear you. I was angry when I wrote that.

I’ve been to Texas a bunch over the years and I’m always surprised at how much I like it. It’s a rapidly changing state, and I know the cities are blue. And people are people, most of them good.

But there is a pervasive gun culture that that has to change if these things are to stop happening.

I'm working in a school and I'm dreading having to do the shooter drill. It's elementary so of course we don't call it shooter, it's "dangerous person". Even though the kids know exactly what it is and that is sad beyond any words.

What a sick situation
