Meek Mill-Political Prisoner?
I only read about his case after Bob Kraft went to visit with him in jail. It sure does seem like lots of fishy stuff going on.

Philadelphia elected a new district attorney who has been championing, along with the mayor, a new trial for Meek Mill. Larry Krasner has also pushed aggressively for reform on probation (limit it to a year), which would have eliminated the arrest that led to Meek getting locked up this time anyway. He's also pushed for bail/cash bond reform, sentence recommendations at the minimum instead of that maximum, compliance with decriminalization of marijuana, and significant rollback of prosecution of sex work.
Easily my favorite elected official in the country as of right now. Proud to have moved into Philadelphia in time to vote for him. |
