Now, this is a bit ridiculous. If they found no evidence (like guns, amunition etc.) that he was actually gonna carry out an attack, why keep the poor kid in jail for a stupid but harmless comment?

I doubt very many people take that attitude toward this tragedy.

I think it is more important to figure out why this happens.

From what I understand, he was shot by a simple .22 rifle. If that's the case - (and assuming the parent bought the gun legally) none of the proposed gun laws would have made a difference.

Remember, I support gun law reform. Especially large caliber, mass casualty producing weapons and background checks.

As it turns out - at least of these kids have their mom in jail. I'm going to guess we'll find the root cause in that area.
