They're clearing civilians from the area. Cops are literally carrying people in their arms away from the scene. And the cops need to get at least one more officer moved because he is in a vulnerable area near the boat.

MSNBC is on the yard, boat and all the details, just like twitter
watching the video replay and hearing the volley of shots fired at the boat

the searches were really crappy, they just went door to door and asked people if they saw anything suspicious,
not like Iraq,

Boston.com is reporting three people in New Bedford have been taken into custody.
