I saw him live in Philly this past October. Absolutely stellar. He plays lots of his catalogue, too. In fact, he brought out an old classic of his, "Dancing in the Dark," and it was a surprise, because he was playing so many different songs on the tour, not just his hits, and hadn't played it yet.

I think he is definitely better live, but has good albums too. "Born to Run" and "Magic" are my two favorites. "The River" is also an excellent double album.

Damnit I wish I'd seen this series. After we got utterly thumped in the Twenty20 I just said "forget it, we've lost".
They made the 160 target in about 17 overs. Insane. Whether it was the crowd size or whatever, it was simply exhilarating.

You may have seen my post in the cricket thread hoping we'd get done 5-0 to get rid of Bracewell. Hopefully we can still get rid of the useless bugger.

I've heard he does really varied sets, and I remember during one setlist party in 2005, it was the last night of some Bruce tour and somebody noted that he'd just debuted another song even then. That's awesome.

I'm trying to remember which ones I've played. Born To Run, definitely, and was a bit bored. I find I can't relate to the studio albums much at all and the sound is kinda dodgy. But there's a spark in the live stuff that gets me into it.

My top ten albums, if anyone cares:

1. Born to Run - Bruce Springsteen
2. The Joshua Tree - U2
3. The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars - David Bowie
4. Station to Station - David Bowie
5. Shadows Collide with People - John Frusciante
6. Magic - Bruce Springsteen
7. The Unforgettable Fire - U2
8. The Earth is Not a Cold Dead Place - Explosions in the Sky
9. Stadium Arcadium - Red Hot Chili Peppers
10. Neon Bible - Arcade Fire

That was difficult.

Actually, I'm just quite bored. I'm not feeling so charged up tonight. Got a headache. Gotta wash my hair. Bad back. Or something.
